Five-Minute Morning Prep
Wash and slice asparagus.
Marinate salmon.
Instructions
Stir together hoisin sauce,
1 tablespoon soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon sesame oil in a shallow dish. Add salmon, turning to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours.
Preheat oven to 400°.
Heat canola oil in a large ovenproof nonstick skillet, over medium-high
heat. Add asparagus and ½ teaspoon salt; sauté for 2 minutes. Add garlic and red pepper; sauté for 1 minute. Stir in sugar and remaining
1 teaspoon soy sauce; sauté for
1 minute. Remove asparagus from pan; keep warm.
Remove fish from marinade, discarding marinade. Sprinkle fish with remaining ½ teaspoon salt. Place fish in same skillet, skin side up. Sear until browned, about 1 minute. Turn fillets; place skillet in oven.
Bake until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 8 minutes. Arrange fish over asparagus. Sprinkle fish with sesame seeds, and drizzle with remaining ½ teaspoon sesame
oil. Serve with lemon wedges.
