Leaving this fondue version of coffee & donuts for St. Nick guarantees you a stocking filled with more than a lump of coal. For chocolate fondue, omit the coffee liqueur, and give milk or dark chocolate a try, but don’t skip the doughnut hole dippers.

When it comes to dessert fondue, ceramic pots are best and gentle heat is a must to keep from overheating the fondue. If you do use a pot other than ceramic, use a tea light to keep the fondue warm without scorching.

Instructions

Chop chocolate and place in a large bowl; set aside.

Heat cream, espresso powder, and liqueur in a saucepan over medium-high until it begins to boil; pour over chocolate and let stand 8 minutes. Whisk mixture until chocolate melts and is smooth. Transfer to warm fondue pot.
