Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment or foil, leaving a 2-inch overhang.
For the crust, melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until brown bits form on bottom of skillet, 20–25 minutes; remove from heat and let cool 5 minutes.
Combine brown butter, brown sugar, bourbon, and salt in a bowl; stir in flour until combined. Press crust evenly into prepared dish; bake until lightly golden, 15 minutes.
For the filling, heat brown sugar and maple syrup in a saucepan over medium. Cook filling, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes; let cool 5 minutes.
Whisk in butter, bourbon, vanilla, and salt. Slowly whisk in eggs until incorporated. Stir in pecans and pour over crust.
Bake bars until a toothpick inserted into center comes out mostly clean, 30–35 minutes. Transfer bars to a rack, let cool completely, then cut into bars.
Cover and store leftover bars at room temperature, or refrigerate up to 1 week
