Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment.
Cream butter, brown sugar, egg
yolk, and vanilla in a bowl. Stir in
flour and salt until combined;
transfer to prepared pan.
Bake crust until golden brown,
20 minutes. (Crust will be soft.)
Immediately place chocolate
squares on top of crust; let stand
until chocolate softens, then
spread over surface.
Sprinkle almonds and toffee bits
over top of chocolate; cut into
squares while still warm.
Store Toffee Squares in an airtight
container at room temperature.
Do not refrigerate.
