Lobe an apple by standing it upright, then slice off the sides of the apple around, but not too close to, the core.
Instructions
Heat oil in a 10-inch cast-iron skillet over medium-high. Add sausages and onion; sauté until sausages begin to brown, 7–8minutes. Add apples, garlic, and pepper flakes; cook 1 minute.
Deglaze skillet with cider; bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium.
Stir in kale; cook until beginning to wilt, 2–3minutes. Stir in vinegar, then season with salt and pepper.
