Blanch ears of corn in boiling water, 3 minutes; drain. When cool enough to handle, cut kernels away from cob.
Combine tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and corn in a large bowl.
Whisk together vinegar, oil, and sugar; season with salt and pepper and toss with salad. Serve salad at room temperature or chill until ready to serve.
