Preheat oven to 450°.
Cook bacon in a 10-inch cast-iron skillet over medium heat until softened and almost crisp. Add turnips and rosemary, tossing to coat in drippings.
Bake, stirring once, until turnips are tender, 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven, and stir in jam. Sprinkle with pepper before serving. Garnish with rosemary, if desired.
