Blanch green beans in a pot of
boiling water with baking soda
until just tender, 5–7minutes;
transfer to a bowl of ice water
to stop the cooking, then drain.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high;
add cranberries and sauté
until softened, 1–2minutes.
Add garlic; sauté until golden,
1–2minutes. Stir in green beans;
sauté until heated through,
3–5minutes, stirring often. Season
green beans with salt and pepper.
Transfer green beans to a platter
and top with almonds.
