The vinaigrette in this salad can easily be made ahead. If it separates, just whisk it again when ready to use. Store any extra in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Instructions

Whisk together oil, vinegar, shallots, sugar, and Dijon; season with salt and black pepper.

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add walnuts and toast until aromatic, 23 minutes.

Combine salad mix, tomatoes, and blue cheese in a large bowl; toss with vinaigrette to coat and garnish with walnuts.
