What is saffron?
Saffron is actually the red stigma of a crocus
flower and is the most expensive of spices.
Use just a pinch of saffron for unmistakable
color, aroma, and flavor.
Heat oil in a saucepan over
medium. Stir in rice and garlic;
cook, until fragrant, 1 minute.
Stir in broth mixture and salt;
bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low,
cover, and cook rice until tender
and broth is absorbed, 15 minutes.
Off heat, let rice stand 5 minutes,
then stir in olives.
