TEST KITCHEN TIPS

You can use an old-fashioned vegetable peeler to hull strawberries. Just insert the tip directly under the leaves at an angle, then force the tip up to “pop” the leaves and core out.

A good reminder is to zest your limes (lemons, oranges, etc.) first, then juice them. And it’s why we typically list citrus zest before juice in ingredient lists.

Instructions

Whisk together 2 Tbsp. cilantro, 2 Tbsp. mint, zest, lime juice, oil, honey, and Dijon; season vinaigrette with salt and pepper.

Toss lettuce, avocado, strawberries, blueberries, and remaining 2 Tbsp. each cilantro and mint with vinaigrette; top with walnuts.
