3 Cute Items to Add to Your Kitchen’s Organization
Visits to the kitchen begin at breakfast and don’t end until you’ve had your midnight snack. It’s the cornerstone space in any home. Since modern architectural trends favor open kitchens now, it is now more important than ever that your kitchen isn’t just functional, but looks good too. While there’s so much that you can do to your kitchen, we want to hook you up with some items that can help transform it into a neat, tidy and welcoming space. Let’s get you to it!
Pot Organizer
There are so many kinds of pot organizers now — while wall-mounted racks may have been cool last decade, we’ve now got pullout cabinet racks, shelf racks, rotating pot organizers, and whatnot.
A common problem with constructing kitchens is that even though we make sure to build enough cabinets and racks, but since we’re also fond of hoarding cool appliances and fancy cookware, the storage areas fill up quite quickly. Before we know it, our shelves are all cluttered up with spices, pots, kitchen towels, bottles or pantry items. This is your sign to get your hands on a pot organizer so you can at least get your pans, pots, and skillets out of the way.
Some of these organizers are very creative and space-saving, allowing you to fit in 6 to 12 items without you having to stack them on top of one another in a cabinet.
Pullout Pantry
The second item we’re fond of is a pullout pantry. If you haven’t yet gotten your kitchen modeled, we suggest pitching the idea of a pullout pantry to your architect. The bigger it is, the better! A pullout pantry will save you from going through the drudgery of organizing your month’s groceries in various cabinets. Even if you don’t have a large space, you could just get one or two large cabinets and set all your spices, oils, cereals, and seasonings in there. They’ll be at an arm’s reach and all your items will be organized in a single cabinet — instead of on multiple shelves.
Corner Shelves: Sleek and Natural
Corner shelves add an excellent aesthetic appeal to your kitchen. The best part? Not only can you use them to fit a few extra accessories but you can also set them out in the open very creatively. We suggest getting some fresh indoor plants as well as a few artificial ones to add a natural feel to your kitchen.
If you grow your vegetables yourself, you could use the shelves to flaunt your produce. You could also use the shelves to stack your daily-use kitchen appliances. Pair it up with some pots or spice jars, and you’ll have a visually appealing and neat kitchen!
Summing It Up
The aforementioned three items will prove to be excellent for almost every kitchen. They’ll help you declutter and give you ample space to add more ornamental additions. If you’ve got an empty wall, we suggest building a showcase so you can flaunt your crockery. If you’ve got a staircase close to your kitchen, we’d suggest that you build a pantry right under it to help you utilize empty space. Lastly, if you’ve got a closed kitchen, we suggest you restructure it and turn it into an open one — it really helps in making your kitchen appear and feel more spacious.
