How to Freeze & Store Fresh Ginger

The next time you buy gingerroot, try this tip. Peel off the skin, grate the entire root, then divide it into tablespoon measurements. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze. Once frozen, transfer to a resealable plastic freezer bag for storage. Add frozen portions to soups, or thaw and use in stir-fries.
