How to Remove Pomegranate Seeds
Pomegranate seeds are a wonderful addition to salads, sauces and garnishes, adding a punchy, bright flavor. But they can be difficult to remove the seeds from the pomegranate. Here's a clean and efficient way to seed a pomegranate in water
Fill a non-reactive bowl (glass, stainless steel, or enamel) with cool water. Cut the pomegranate in half and submerge it in the water. With your thumbs, begin to work the seeds out of the pomegranate halves. There are two benefits: the seeds will pop out easily, and settle to the bottom in a pile. But the best part is that your hands and cutting board don’t get stained. This can be done quickly too; it should take about 3 minutes to seed a pomegranate.
