How to Skin Nuts
Skinning nuts like pistachios, hazelnuts, or almonds at home may seem like a daunting task, but it's simple and easy with this tip.
Blanch nuts like pistachios, hazelnuts, or almonds to remove their skins. To blanch nuts, bring a pot of water (enough to cover the nuts) to a boil. Add nuts and boil them for one minute. Drain the water from the nuts, then place them on a clean towel. Fold the towel over the nuts, and rub it back and forth. The skins will rub off onto the towel. Any skins still clinging to the nuts are easy to slide off.
