How to Peel Ginger
Waste not! Put down that vegetable peeler and take out the silverware to get rid of pesky ginger skin without losing any ginger.
Ginger can be difficult to peel — especially the tough, woody parts. Using a peeler or knife can lead to chunks of the ginger coming off. We like to use a tablespoon to remove all that tough skin. Just scrape a spoon down the length of the ginger —
the skin comes right off, and you don’t have any waste.
