How to Safely Slice Chiles
Avoid getting potent spice from chiles on your fingers while chopping with this simple kitchen hack.
To prevent painful chile burns while dicing, hold the chile with the tines of a fork and slice it lengthwise in half. Then, holding one of the halves cut side up with the fork, scrape out the seeds and membranes with a spoon. Finally, place the seeded chile half cut side down and secure it in place with your fork. Cut thin slices lengthwise then slice across the strips to dice.
