The Easiest Way to Preserve Tomatoes: Freeze Them Whole!
Don't let your garden tomatoes go to waste; with this tip for easy freezing, your tomatoes will last until you're ready to use them!
Love making tomato sauce from homegrown tomatoes, but can't find time at the end of the growing season to make a batch? Don't let your tomatoes go to waste! Just wash them and freeze them in bags — cutting large ones into quarters — until you're ready to use them. The night before making sauce, transfer the bags to the fridge. The next morning, just put the tomatoes on a baking sheet and let them thaw to room temperature — after about an hour, the skins will slip right off!
