Skip the Wooden Skewers for Grilling and Use Rosemary Sprigs Instead
Rosemary Skewers
For a fun alternative to bamboo or metal skewers, try sprigs of rosemary. They look great and add delicious flavor to grilled food.
To make the skewers, strip two-thirds of the needles from each rosemary sprig, leaving the remaining third intact. Soak the sprigs for 30 minutes in water and avoid grilling over high heat to prevent the needles from burning.
Rosemary skewers make excellent skewers for cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, shrimp, scallops, or even chicken.
