Hi, I'm Kelly Schmidt. The diabetic dietician I've had type one diabetes since I was eight years old. So I've had it for the last 26 years. Don't do the math. I am now focusing my career on helping others with type one diabetes and diabetes in general. This course is great for anyone with diabetes or anyone that has a relative with diabetes. I'm very passionate about it because this is a very scary and isolating place, but it doesn't have to be, Oh, that looks so good. I will be discussing a wealth of information in this course. I will be talking about blood sugar targets tools for blood sugar, targets apps for managing and assessing your blood sugar to understand what's working and what's not. I'll be going into gut health. As gut health is so important for overall health, especially blood sugar stability. And I'll also talk about things about knowing the ropes of how to go to happy hour, how to go to a restaurant and order something that'll work well for your blood sugar control, as well as enjoying the holidays and parties. Don't let diabetes hold you back in any way and help it push you to live a life to the fullest. Knowing and being confident in my meal choices, make my blood sugars more stable. Help me feel better.
